Spellings:
Spellings will be set on Fridays and tested the following Friday. Spelling lists and scores will be posted on Seesaw. Please practise your child’s spellings at home regularly.
Reading:
Children are expected to read at least 5 times a week. Children are asked to bring in their reading book and reading record in daily and they can change their completed book for a new one. Children can take home a library book as well as their banded book to read over the week. Our library day is Wednesday, on this day children can take home a library book and return the following Wednesday for a new one. A member of staff will check the use of Active Learn - Bug Club on a weekly basis to reward dojo points.
Times Tables:
Children are learning their 3, 4 and 8 times tables in Year 3. They need to be practising these at home daily, there are useful websites for this such as Hit the Button and Timestables.com. Children will also be asked to consolidate their maths learning done in school by completing activities on MyMaths weekly. A member of staff will check the use of this platform on a weekly basis to reward dojo points.
Interactive Homework Projects:
Termly interactive homework projects will also be set and then displayed in school the following half term for children to exhibit to parents. Keep your eyes peeled for information about these projects!
