Forest School
At St. John's we ensure all children throughout the school have access to forest school sessions. This aims to provide a child-led, long-term outdoor learning experience in a natural environment that fosters confidence, self-esteem, communication skills, resilience, and holistic development (physical, social, emotional, and intellectual) through hands-on, supported risk-taking and problem-solving. It encourages connection with nature and a greater appreciation for the environment, leading to deeper learning and motivation for many children.
