What the school provides

  • Year 6 have a residential holiday in the autumn term at an outdoor activity centre in the lake district
  • School provides an Easter and summer club for children. Activities in and out of school are planned. There is a minimal daily charge
  • School have a breakfast club which is available to all children for a small charge
  • Before school clubs are available on certain days
  • After school clubs run every day for children from KS1 and KS2 these are free of charge
  • Specific clubs run during the school break and dinner time specifically to meet individual needs of SEND children
  • Parents and children are consulted about provision of clubs and activities
  • After school childcare has been offered for a minimal fee, due to lack of demand this provision isn’t currently available
  • School is part of the SHARES team Lancashire LTD (Skelmersdale Heads Association Raising Educational Standards ) which provides holiday clubs based in one of the cluster schools
  • School will fund places for families identified through the school social, welfare and attendance team
  • School’s learning mentor works with identified children on a 1 to 1 basis. These sessions are timetabled weekly; in addition school’s pastoral worker runs 1 to 1 sessions to support children with identified needs.
